Anyone know of one, standards, prices and so on please?

Everytime we pass through we are in a bit of a rush to get on to Zagora or up to Talouine or Tazanakht and I haven't had a chance to have a good look around on my own ...any recommendations ? :)

BTW the Cafe Hotel one isn't up to what I need and it's the only one I've seen so far:(

I've never noticed anything special there but recall Auberge Iriki may be worth checking out:thumb2

That's out on the piste though I think isn't it?.......I need one in Foum Zguid really cos to get there from Talouine or Tazanakht it's a couple of hours, or coming the other way from Zagora it'd be nice to be able to finish there rather than having to go up into the hills again at dusk (that road up to Tazanakht gets bloody cold!)

I think Foum Zguid is the last weak link we have in accommodation options and it's bugging me :blast

I remember before the deluge and saturation of info on Morocco here trying to find out for definate if fuel was available there...exciting days:D

Thing is, it doesn't really take that long to get to Foum Zguid from Zagora by piste.

Also Taliouine to Foum Zguid by what's left of the piste and onto Zagora is quite doable even on a GS without needing to stop over at FZ, perhaps that's why not too much development has gone on there.
Many do have lunch there though:beer:

You're right, but on the Level 1 trip we do take it, er, quite steadily :D
(Even so, we make the Fibule in time for a very well deserved beer in good time)

I just like having back up plans in place if it all goes pear shaped 'cos someone dings a rim on the rocky section or finds they really really don't get on with sand....normally we do an early start to get to FZ with a good 5-6 hours left for the piste before dusk:thumb2

I can't believe there isn't a reasonable hotel there ya know....population wise, it seems to be on a par with Tazanakht and it's always been a stopping off point and crossroads on the Agadir-Zagora/Ouazazarte/Marra roads. :nenau

Oh yeah, and the shopkeepers still work in 'old dirham' :blast:eek:

That'll be me then. :)

Tim, just how slow can you ride? ;)

That's one of the really nice bits about the pistes and tracks in Morocco David.....there's so much room around them that people can ride and play as they want.....off to both sides of this particular piste is mile after mile of desert....you can stick to one of the many tracks or you can zoom around off-piste and have some more technical fun.

Don't worry though, it's a great section and I promise you won't get left behind ;)

PS He's getting old now anyway...I'm sure he'll be glad of an excuse to slow down (or so Timpo keeps saying :D)
