How are you wiring in your Denali’s on 1150GSA?

Hello all. I’ve bought a set of pre loved Denali D4’s.
Gonna wire them into the 1150GSA.
I think with newer bikes you can control them at 30% for day time running then flick them to 100% for night time.
Is that functionality available on the 1150? Or is that just for canbus bikes?
I’m thinking I’d like them to work on my high beam switch.
How have you guys done it? TIA

IIRC the Denali wiring loom allows for 2 different inputs - one to turn them 'on' and one for 'full-beam'.

TBH I didn't bother with the low-output wire, and just fed the 'full-on' circuit (it's a low-voltage circuit that trips a relay built into the Denali loom - iirc), from the main-beam dashboard indicator light circuit. (I already had a feed in that circuit because I had a pair of Hellas already wired in, and was replacing them with the Denalis).

If I had wanted the Denalis to be on with the dip beam, I would probably have wired them into the circuit for the rev-counter display bulb.

Allows you to use low intensity whenever the ignition is on.... And then full power on full beam. No fuses, no relays needed...
I have one on my V85TT,; you're quite local if you want to meet up for a look. Works great with my Denali S4...

That’s really kind of you. I’ve just read on adventure bike shop,that Denali D4 don’t work with this bit of kit. Older versions of this light may work.
So it could be a bit of a punt (not a euphemism)

Now you mention it, I remember. Later D4 can be a problem. Great with S4 tho ...

I've got D3s on my 1100 and use Denali's 'Data Dim' dimmer module with the standard wiring harness. Pretty much plug and play, it replaces the original relay and connects to your main and pilot light to give a 50% dip.
