Posting in here as it concerns emtb:s.

I've had a Renault Trafic for 10 years that has unfortunately been written off. It was ace for delivering parcels during the week and taking 2 emtbs out at the weekend.
Thing is, I'm due to start a new job shortly and no longer need a big van, as I just need to get to their depot, so thinking of running a car to save on costs.

Does anyone have any experience of getting 2 emtb's in a car without having to take the seats out and strip the bikes down?
A mate gets his normal mtb in a Dacia Duster by taking the front wheel out and seats folded, but don't think he'd get 2 bikes in there.

If there's no suitable cars, what small vans would have enough room for 2 big bikes in the back?

We can get two MTBs in the back of our Seat Ateca...(Like a VW Tiguan, a small SUV), could also get them in our last Octavia hatchback...both times with front wheels off...BUT...if they're 25kg e-mtbs, there may be a battle to get the 2nd one in, on top of the first...and pedals can be a right pain in the arse. Maybe try something like a Skoda Yeti and get a front wheel mount fitted. Something like the below? I'm presuming security is why you're not looking at a rear rack or roof rack and bike mount?

Berlingo or Peugeot Partner teepee would work I reckon, rear seats fold and flip up allowing a big space in the back without taking anything out, very roomy for a small van derived car 👍 tailgate rear door as well.Screenshot_20250902_144353_Facebook.jpg

Funnily enough, we already have a Yeti and I took it to Wales a couple of years ago, removed all 3 back seats, and still needed to take the front wheel off.
I think the small van option is going to be favourite - but would 2 fairly big electric bikes go in a standard length Berlingo sized van? The lwb ones are better but rarer, I've had a standard Berlingo years ago but never tried to get a bike in there.

I like that. Didn't realise the seats folded up like that.
Complimentary bag of Wurthers in the glove box I reckon as well

You can try my lwb crew cab transit connect for size.

Didn't know you had one of them, mate. Let me know when you're home and I'll pop over with my bikes

I have two emtbs Nuke proof Megawatt and a Vitus E-Sommet. Both fit diagonally in the back of a berlingo van without taking the wheels off
