how cheap is the GS to insure !!!

1200GS, £223 fully comp+breakdown+legal. zero no claims (kept that on my Ducati). Seems reasonable, if I transfer my no-claims to the Beemer then it will probably be below £150.

Cambridgeshire, garaged, always polish my shoes, never pick my nose etc......

£1200 from BMW... I guess thats the price you have to pay for choosing an 1150GS as a starter bike after passing my test... At least there is a bright side, it can only get cheaper! :D

Just when i was seeing the situation in "the glass is half full" frame of mind.... :boozer

Well theres a turn up for the books.
Got a quote for £250 on e-bike.
Thats great news.
All i need now is the 1st september for my gs to arrive.
Got rid of my harley v-rod today and hope and pray the gs is more reliable and more fun to ride.
Thanks to this forum the enjoyment in biking has returned.

I`ve just used BMW INSURANCE via the web and found it to be as good if not better then the rest ( £ 139 fully comp, garaged etc, with more than 5 years ncb ) for a 05 GS1200, and that`s not for an old gadger either !
Happy hunting ;)

Kin Hell £139 ! Is Perthshire a crime free zone or is your excess a complete '£1000 ?' mines all signing and dancing discounts for £180 with Bennets.....can I parked my Adv in your garage, well on paper anyway

Cheap Hahaha

Here in British Columbia, Canada, with my 40% safe drive discount. I pay 200 dollars a month. Thats with "everthing" as we say here. The bike will be off the road in the rainy season (winter) here.

Insurance here goes by displacement and value. You would think it would horse power and value.

My brother in Ontario has a KLR 650 Kawasaki and he pays 1,000 a year.

North

With 2 years NCB, 39 years young and parked outside I was quoted £327 with Carol nash-£250 excess

Bennetts £269... £500 excess.

EBike £249.... £175 excess. :D

Guess who got my buisness

Jon :)

I use a broker, Footman James in Cradley Heath, Brum
they do alll sorts of polices for clasic cars, bikes, you name it
for me with 5 years NCB 1150 2002 adventure about £198, with low excess.
I mainly use them because you can talk to a person and do not have to spend 15 minutes giving them all your details before they say they cannot help you, and they dont have a call centre in India

look them up an give them a try

48yrs old + 6yrs NCB = £132 F/C (protected No Claims) and legal cover from BMW Ins. :thumb

Check your insurance policy small print, you may find it states that all savings you are now making must be invested into comfy slippers, pipes and Werthers Originals :dabone

Anyone know if someone sells boots disguised as slippers? Now that would be a good seller .....
