How do i Download youtubery?

never been in here before.
ANYhow,
I have tried before asking here.
while there seems to be a lot of downloadable 'things' online to allegedly help me download youtubes - all of them fuck up my p.c. in some way. add ons i didnt want, slows it down, adds toolbars or the like.

Help, please - what can you suggest (for an idiot that is) that will download youtubery and allow me to simply copy it to a CD.
Music first. Videos would be a bonus.

Downloads from YouTube, then you can keep as a vid, or tell it to lose the vid & just keep the mp3.

You could download a little prog called keepvid and then just stick the code in and bobs your uncle

the easy way....

find the video you want on youtube

type the word 'sing' after www.
(note no speack marks, just the word!)

you will de directed to another page where you can decide what you want audio, video etc

follow the easy instructions...

Works well for me and integrates with Firefox (probably IE as well) so you just click a little green arrow on the video thumbnail or a blue symbol on the browser toolbar. It then offers various quality/format options to download and does it in the background.
