When I first rode my new bike, I did think that it was lower than my old 1200GSA, but didn't think to much of it, but after a few rides I have really noticed how hard it is to get it on the centre stand. I know there is a difference of 20mm between the standard and adventure shocks, but will measuring the rear shock whilst on the bike be an accurate measurment? Can anyone tell me what the measurement should be?

just a quick look may be able to tell, if the springs are white, then GSA if dark blue GS.
This is only a rough quick guide, you really need measurements i know.

I hope it is that simple, becuase they are white/gray coloured :D

Ask the previous owner? :nenau

The previous owner was not the original owner and did not mention anything.

I have found measurements for Ohlin shocks but getting access to the top of the shock does not look easy so will have to wait for the weekend.

measuring is fairly simple, just remove seat and in front of the air filter housing is the top bolt, and you can see the bottom bolt.

white/grey spring may suggest gsa:nenau

mine isnt a gsa and its got white/grey spring's so I dont think the colour is a deciding factor...........unless mine has gsa springs .:blast:blast:blast:blast
you got me wondering about mine now waaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!
