You'll turn the key, every thing on the dash indicates all is ok, there will be fuel in the tank, you'll press the starter the engine will turn but not fire... :augie

Fuel Pump Controller

Hi Ribcracker,

Noticed in your post that you have replaced the above.
If you still have the old one, and have no further use for it, It would be appreciated if you would consider selling me the connector so that I can make up a 'work-around' cable.

Best Regards,

John

A work around cable would benefit the masses would it not?
If this is the case I will donate my old controller to you as long as any solution is shared. Now for the tricky bit is it ok for me to give you my email addresss as I not a subscribered tosser don't what to break any rules?

Fuel Pump Controller

Hi Ribcracker,

Yes the 'workaround' would indeed be also relevant to the rest of our community. There are several theads on this topic, most noticable from a fellow subscriber 'WAPPING' (very helpful guy) see his post No 49 dated 28/4/08.
Also see this link :-

There is some very useful information on this forum and, as mentioned before, some very helpful people. I would strongly reccommend that you subscribe.

If you are still willing to let me have/ sell me your old unit/connector.
you can contact me as follows :-

Very best regards,

John

There's nothing to the 'workround'. You just need the connector, into which you feed 12v from your battery.

It would benefit you if you read the link made your own and kept it safe under your seat,i suspect that is what the op plans to do!,then you'll never be left stuck again

I'd keep the connector and make up your own "work around" cable as elefantman says to use as a "get you home" if it ever fails again...

The thing about the cables though is that they keep the pump working constantly. Which is great as a "short term fix" as people have said, but beware - as relying on it for too much longer than necessary could harm the pump...

The alternative is to carry a spare controller on trips into remote areas...
