Can any body tell me is there a simple way to check if the ESA is working as i've been out this morning and scrolled between Comfort, Normal and Sport and i cant tell any difference:confused:

it moves up and down reduces the travel on the shock I think?

Find a bumpy road and you should feel the difference between the three damping modes. The preload modes you should be able to feel the difference when sitting on the bike as the ride height will change.

When at a standstill. Have you tried changing from Solo to +pillion or vic-versa. The bike should rise and fall by a few inches.
When riding, you should also feel the suspension stiffen, when changing from comfort to sport.

There is a huge difference between the comf, norm, & sport modes. Get on some tight bends and twisties in comfort mode and your bike will bottom out very easily and wallows around. In sport mode it's precise and solid. Same on the motorway, bike is comfy and just wallows along on the m-ways. As for off road settings, you need to do this whilst stationery. The ESA increases the height of the bike.

Yes have tried the above and it does alter its high but between comfort, sport and normal it feel the same to me :nenau i have now put it back to normal and included ix helmet and ix case to see if it is any difference.

is it possible that it could be part working ie preload is ok and dampening is not?

Too true. I left mine of comfort mode in the twisties and took a chunk out the side stand. I'd only had the bloody thing one day and 40 miles

There's definitely a huge difference between Comfort and Normal. I'm reserving Sport for use with panniers and topbox when we go to Austria.

How long have you had the bike? I didn't notice a huge difference between comfort/normal/sport during the test ride, nor when I first got the bike. Now I've had it a while and got used to its characteristics I find the difference between the settings is quite considerable :thumb2
