Battlewings seems to be the new tourances in terms of factory fitment tyres on GS/GSAs.

How do you find them?

TBH .. I have never had Tourances on my bike. Only ever use Anakees and now Battlewings.

I can't tell the difference and they all square off really quickly :augie

Had them on my Strom and I could drift at will - only prob was I didnt want to :blast

basically they were crap

They work fine for me and last reasonably well, I get 7-8,000 from a pair.

IMO There is not alot in it between the Anakee and the Battlewing but I feel i get better milage from the Bridgstone

I've done about 1700 miles on my battlewings, and so far they have been very good in both dry and wet.

Tom, I had Battlewings on my SE when I first bought it. Couldn't wait to get them off and a pair of Tourances on. So eventually after 1 year and a complete set of Battlewings I was finally in a position to change em. You're right about them squaring off quickley but the Tourances seem to last just that little bit more. I find myself much more confident on the Tourances to the point whre I now need new Toe Sliders for me boots.....:D

Have to agree with above< My battlewings have squared of very quickly. Tourances here I come !!

What is it about Battlewings :nenau

People seem to either like them or hate them - more so than any other tyre I can think of (check out the threads in the 1200 section).

Are the peeps that hate them confusing them with Trailwings ( AKA Deathwings) :nenau

FWIW I think they are a good all round road tyre and very simialr to 020's (with wich they share the carcas AFAIK). Can't compare with a pure road tyre though and are crap in mud :D
