I use the pack safe helmet thingy thing. Keeps your lid dry also if it pisses down.

Used it for years with no dramas.

I ended up getting a 3m cable from acre fix and a combination cable that was 1.5m in length used it to secure the tank bag jacket and helmet.

It is a deterrent for those opportunist tea leads the pros will get to them no matter what.
