How do you remove these?

I want to remove the grill to respray the fairing, but there are 4 of these little monkeys holding it on. Anyone ever had any success in removing them, without destroying anything?

Don’t think you can - you just have to pry them off

Flat blade screwdriver to prize the tangs up/away individually then to re-use hammer them back down flat using a suitably sized socket

If you knacker the little buggers, a good fastener shop/distributer should have them.

They are called ‘Star Washers’ and are easily bought so as stated previously, you can just lever them off with a flat blade screwdriver.

Put your hand over them when you lever the off incase they fly off & lose um...

I use one of these ( in piccy ) as I have u/s hands.
I did file then ends into a point..
Works for me...
