How far can I go in the Alps from Geneva in six days?

Avoiding anything which is considered an "attraction" or touristy can have you finding small family run places like this http://www.hotellaposte.fr/hotel-espinasses-hautealpes-paca.html
Normal for France sort of place, not fancy, but when I was there a few years ago, all the things I wanted. Warm (outside was cool) decent bed, decent shower, quiet, and friendly.
Food was unfussy but substantial, fitting the needs of that cool evening. There did seem to be a lot of locals in the dinning room.
Big space at the back for parking - I notice that they claim special facilities for cyclists and bikers (?).
With an adjoining bar.
Situated at the west end of Lac Serre Poncon, the D3 heading east is a nice twisty road along the lake. You can detour up into the hills too.

We were heading for somewhere else, but glad we stumbled up here, after the original target destination in Barcelonette was closed/full, pressing on rather than deal with the crowds and traffic.

The route is largely made up of GPS files which retrace a trip made by Donnie. I did provisionally have the trip down at 6 days as a friend was making the transport arrangements (http://www.bikeshuttle.co.uk).

As it turns out we had 10 days with two of those taken up with the inbound and return flights together with the riding to and from Northampton.

We would have had two spare days but one of the three of us REALLY wanted to visit Monaco. In fact my wife who isn't coming REALLY want to also so she is well pissed off! :)

We do have two days in Andermatt and we could sacrifice day 7 or change the route for that day so we have a bit of flexibility.

As for accommodation the previous plan had placeholders and I've since scoured Booking.com at each stopping point so I have a more refined plan (hoping that you don't pick it apart too much)
