I have a 2000 1150GS (not adventure), and the bottom of the sidestand can be pushed down, against the spring by about 12mm, when the bike is on the centrestand and the sidestand lowered.
The pivot bolt and bush have both been renewed, without seeming to make much difference.

Is this amount of movement normal, or do I have a worn stand, mounting, or both?
I've checked the mount, and there are no obvious signs of cracking or damage to it.

A new bolt and bush sorted mine but if the hole's worn get it welded up and re drill it :beerjug:

Normal IMO - there's quite a bit of give in the side stand, I was just wiggling it the other day in fact!!

I'd imagine that everything wiggles on your bike at the moment!

Sorry!:D

Mines a 2000 1150, 70 odd thousand miles on it, the side stand does "wiggle" a bit in fact it used to lean over a bit too much when loaded, I think its just how they are, not so bad now I've fitted an ice hockey puck to it :D

The bent bits aren't wiggly - in fact quite the opposite, I've had to saw them off to remove them. Side stand is 100% perfect though.

How's the bike repair coming on?

my RT11 leant over a long way on the preceding days before the sidestand snapped whilst on tour :P
