Well i'm about to find out as they are servicing my bike as i type! Quoted cheaper than Vines, got me in 3 weeks earlier, and pretty goof coffee too!

Watch this space!

Richie

I used them to balance throttle bodies, check final drive, check brakes and a couple of other jobs on my R1100GS. They were friendly, efficient, and happy to take me into the workshop to show what they were doing at various stages. They are in an out of the way place, but they have Sky and coffee and biscuits on stream - I also took my laptop as they have free wifi - :thumb2

I am not connected to them in any way - just happy to pass on credit where it's due...

Bahnstromers.....

...well at least £70 cheaper than Vines, very friendly and because i forgot my service book said if i post it to them even offered to stamp it and send it back. Very satisfied. Think i'll be back there!:thumb

First rate in every way from buying, service and parts. Keen to win business and despite the extra distance from my home, they're the dealer I use for everything.

I've always found them to be pretty damn good. In fact I would put them in my top 3 dealers.

I have found them to be honest, straightforward and pretty well organised, and most importantly when I've had comments / suggestions they have listened to all of them and then acted on (some of) them.

I am sure they aren't perfect and probably have bad days - but I haven't seen that side.

I would buy another bike from them and they service my current bike. Can't really say fairer than that.

I bought my GS there last October. I'd had three separate test rides and they didn't put any pressure on me. They gave me a fair price for my old (non BMW) bike. They changed a pair of boots I bought there with no quibble as well.

They even phoned me while I was still in A&E to find out how I was when they saw my GS appear on a recovery truck after I stuffed it in the undergrowth. Mike the salesman knew it was my bike even though it looked like a tree.:)

Having said that I haven't tried anywhere else but why bother?

at least Bahnstormer are subscribers, and dont hide behind anyone in their shop or false names.

i actually like them, never bought from them, but they always seem to come on here and offer something. surely thats good.

i said this on another thread, yesterday i think, another good place to go by the sounds of things:thumb2

may have to pop in sometime

Bahnstormer are one of a quite short list of things I miss about living in Hampshire. Feckers won't come up here and look after my bike tho. :(

Top dealership, for some bizarre reason they could deal with corrosion issues that other dealers couldn't , they bend backwards when I had the cutting out issues and now they are sorting out the ESA/suspension issues ( replacement parts were faulty ). You can always have a chat with Alistair or the well build chap ( his name escapes me now:blast). Some good deals on bits to.

Always been very helpful to me, they did the warranty replacement on the engine/gearbox oil seals and lent me an F800ST while the warranty work was being done.

They did the last service, I was busy at the time so they collected and returned my bike for not much more than the cost of fuel for their van. When I found that the throttle cable had snagged when they put the tank back on, the van came back to collect it again and the driver was seriously embarrassed and apologetic. Bike was back again the next day sorted.

We can all make errors, and for me one of the measures of the quality of organisation is how they deal with their errors. I was impressed by how Bahnstormers people sorted the problem out without any fuss, excuses or problems.

Always found them spot on.
polite,friendly & coffee/tea is always available. :thumb

We'll see - took my bike in with a brake judder, was told the discs were in spec. So I said, OK, so what's causing the judder - to which the answer is, it's the discs. Somewhat of a circular conversation followed, result being they put in a claim to BMW. The bike is 3 months out of warranty, but I took out the extended warranty - which doesn't cover discs! NOG changed the discs 11000 miles ago, last September, but apparently didn't use the latest spec of disc. I argued that discs should last more than 11000 miles, I know they wear but they're not a consumable, especially at over £600 to change.

BuMW turned down the claim, and Bahnstormers suggested I phone customer service to ask them to reconsider, which I did. BuMW couldn't find the claim and said that anyway, it should have to be dealt with by Bahnstormers as a "manual procedure". BuMW then called Bahnstormers, who said they would revise the claim. Called in last Saturday (about a week after the original claim had been refused), no word as yet.

I'm certainly not keen on the idea of forking out £600 every 10k for discs!

That doesn't sound like a Bahnstormer issue - but one for BMW themselves (or NOG for fitting "old" disks before) :nenau

My experience of warranty work with Bahnstormers has been superb, with any delay being waiting on BMW to approve work.

Sounds like they doing their best to help you through the process...

Well, it is a Bahnstormer issue now as I'm now a Bahnstormer customer, although I agree it wasn't caused by them. I'm hopeful of a positive outcome as other have spoken highly of them and that's the reason I moved from NOG, where service has been going downhill. Mrs Berin is in the market for a new F800ST and I'm keen that we get this resolved before going ahead.

Bahnstormer Motorrad have always given me top service.

Just bought a used 58 plate GSA and they have gone the extra mile to sort a few small niggles I had with it, including sorting out a worn final drive bearing I didn't even notice was faulty, they spotted it just as they were about to hand it back and told me to hang on to the 2010 loan bike whilst they sort it for me.

Can't recommend them highly enough.:thumb2

I ride straight past NOG to get to Bahnstormers...........

Says it all really.....

Well, BuMW have agreed to fit new discs FOC after a second asking by Bahnstormers, and it's booked in to be done. I've got the brake recall as well so hopefully they can do that at the same time.

The only issue I have with Bahnstormers at the moment is they're service department is always busy when I phone and they never phone me back
