How long after the petrol light comes on before you grind to a halt, thats no bars left on the rid and orange light comes on, is it panic stations or what??

Mine lights up when there's 3 litres left. checked it lots of times.(1150 twin spark) so it depends how you ride from then. I've had 29 miles and there's still some left.

about 35/40 miles then i fill up
You poor things......I rode to Princetown last Sept (from Preston) & the light came on after 180 miles. I pulled in for fuel after another 125 & still had 5 litres in the tank. I fitted a s/hand Adv tank last year, but didn't change the fuel guage sender inside it so it's all a bit scew-whiff. It's consistently scew-whiff, though
