With the current cold snap soon to finish, I'm curious to know the lowest temperature people were out riding in.

This morning at about 1am I left work at about -5.5 centigrade which quickly fell away to -8 out on the motorway!

I was told once that road salt only works down to -3 or -4 degrees and the roads were pretty wet! Upright riding all the way

Hello boys and girls, i was out at -4.5 yesterday and my temp gauge kept flashing to tell me it was cold, i already knew tho

Im actually sitting in my gritting office whilst my hardy crew throw some more salt down and just for info it becomes pretty useless at minus 10.

Ridding over to Newlands Corner the Tuesday before last I had -6.5 heading along the valley near me.

Saw -4.5 this morning when I went out.

I don't have a temp gauge on mine, but tues night rode from southampton to horsham along the a272 with a queue of traffic behind me as I went 30mph most of the way.

According to the weather girl they said it was about -5.
