HOW MANY WC GS OWNERS WILL BE GETTING THE ADVENTURE

I'll be going for a basic bike with heated grips (and maybe sat nav prep) . I just dont need or want things like a fancy headlight or cruise control or selectable engine mapping, at the prices bmw want for them.

Ive had a multistrada 1200 and only ever used one riding mode, similarly, on the gs ,road mode is still a full fat experience, and the mode i settled on on the gs wc test ride.

Saw the WC GSA in flesh today, same color as the picture on previous page. I don't like it at all, too big to silly too many different materials textures and colors on one bike.

written on the not so smart phone, so please excuse typo

Hi there, this is my first post as a returned member after a detour with a Ducati MS1200. I have a March 2013 R1200GS LC and was very tempted by the Adventure....until the dealer quoted me over £5k to switch. The only reason to change would be the 30 litre tank but not for that much cash. So, I will keep the GS for another year or two and keep my eye out for an article about how to retrofit the larger tank.

I was offered a similar deal to you prodigalgs and came to the same conclusion....dealer told me the new gs adventure had come in at an unexpectedly high rrp....gs lc is gr8..had it remapped instead :-)

Try Andy at Southport super bikes .... I changed my 13 LC for the new adventure for a lot less than the figure you quoted, albeit he took my bike now ! :D

According to a few chaps on the AdvRider forum, some bikes are hitting dealers at the end of January/ early February, for customer collections in the first week of February. Apparently, there are 500 GSA's currently in New Jersey, USA.

"Tomorrow all 140 dealers get a chance to order one bike. Then each consecutive day a dealer can order another single bike until 250 of the 500 are spoken for by the dealer network. Those ship immediately and have to be sold by the end of "January" before a dealer can get anymore of the remaining 250 bikes!"

Seems odd, as the official UK launch is March.:nenau

Ive just placed order for the GSA in white, so my 2013 GS 1200 E Racing Red, will be up for sale very shortly, ive had no problems what so ever and its currently at 10,000 miles.
