I have been really happy with my 1150gs for years and it has been tweaked to be as fast as your going to get one, but the old girl is getting on and I have an opportunity to buy a new bike and have been to my local dealer in Maidenhead.

Triple Black GSA List price of £15,630, then extras of Keyless and alarm is £16,090, with panniers etc that goes up to best part £18,000.

I have been offered a £400 discount but wondered what others have been able to negotiate?

I'm going to have a ring round tomorrow, but would love your feedback.

I think I paid £17k. I got TB with keyless, gear shift assist, alarm, Akra, full luggage with the back rest thing.

Depends on time of the year and how much you're buying. More you buy the more they have in the deal.

I bought in late November knowing summer would be more.

Ring around. Once you have the exact quote it gives you more to work with but if it is just £400 that's a bit shit.

additional £2000 for panniers sounds a bit steep!!

I agree, i bought TB from maidenhead, got free NAV VI and £50 of the bike. Bike was £58 short of £17k.

You Wiley on the other hand, bagged yourself a stinking deal! Good lad!

Not all panniers, 745 panniers, 349, top box, 65 back rest (no idea why, I hate pillions!).

Road Tax and Reg fee £140

The rub is £500 delivery, I want it and your the 'retailer' you get it delivered...

I bloody agree, and different dealers have different prices. Some £500 others £600. More interestingly is, when they have "The" bike in their showroom, they still charge you the fee and then expect you to come and collect it on the day! :nenau

You have go to catch them toward the end of a quarter, when targets still have to be hit. I managed £1K off list for a lowered 2017 TE in mid-March for delivery by end of March (end of the quarter), plus free first service and re-keying the locks on my Varios.

Yup, it's £500 plus the VAT, so £600!

The BMW published list price includes delivery, registration, etc., but not, I think, road tax. It's only when you see a quotation that you notice the delivery element.

I guess it's the 'sum total' paid and work out the core price, I did get the sensation that they were keen for me to get finance the bike...

Most finance contracts have a short period (days) within which you can pay off the contract without any extra costs. So buy on finance , get discount for doing so, and pay off within period. Dealer doesn't worry, it's BMW finance that takes the hit. My daughter saved £500 on a £5000 SH VW from a main dealer , this way

CHECK YOUR SMALL PRINT.

I refused to sign a loan recently because they are getting around early repayment by a new clause... Credit Charge.

Basically they get you to sign an agreement whereby you confirm you will pay the FULL credit charge (which amounts to the interest over full period), regardless of early payment or settlement.

They're wise to this now.

Distance selling regulations means you have 14 days cool off to cancel. But not if you sign on premises. So they make you go onsite to sign.

I just paid cash in the end (Credit Card, dealer paid charges, I cleared funds 10 days after). Finance used to be a good option, as I always settled early. But not always a good move now.

Also some personal loan early part/over payments will not amend/lower your monthly payment amount. They are trying to de-incentivise you to repay early, while bending and staying within the Credit Laws.

i used vines guildford £17741 for pack 1 thats boxes tinted screen back rest pads and nav6 i didn't use maidenhead messed about to much

take out the shortfall insurance £290 total for 3 years cover its a no brainer

Have a search on BMW Motoradd used bike site. I picked up a BMW Mothership owned Triple Black std LC full spec except luggage and nav with 480 miles on it for £2800 below list. It was like brand new when I collected it and came with a full two years warranty.
When I was at Williams in Manchester recently having its annual service carried out, they had a load of GSs in with around 500 miles on them.
