How much is too much?

Went to HD Chester today to look at Jackets and Helmets, i was a bit disappointed really, not a great choice of jackets, only one leather jacket that I liked, and not one helmet I liked, the Davida ones are OK but the largest one on display was still too snug. Some of the Fabric jackets were OK but i already have Rukka stuff so that wasn't really an option.

Unfortunately Mrs Shep joined me and found a helmet and a jacket that she liked, so at least one of us was happy!!

Them Davida helmets are like having your head in a vice.

Try Bikers Paradise. Decent quality at reasonable prices and the leather stuff they make to suit the larger gentleman too...plus they do loads of...and I hate the word..."retro" styles...

I was well pissed off with mine, it had all the feeling of a great bit of kit but it was probably 20% too tight, everybody said they would give a bit , riding for the past 45+ years told me it would give a bit, but it didn't, i'm still waiting i'm just at the stage of attacking it to try and make it fit!

I'd take the fecker back.

I tried two or three Davidas but never bought, they varied from tight, crushingly tight, and like sticking your head in a thimble.

Shit things in my opinion.

If it happened again i would in a shot , but i stuck at it for a couple of years too long (only occasional use) so i suppose its way out of a reasonable refusal period of time

I always try to encourage people to wear as much genuine HD branded gear as possible. It really helps me to spot the people I'm interested in talking to ;)

I'm not sure you can have too much going by some of the chaps who frequent my local HD shop, I reckon the Captain has it nailed with his collection..........

I was only joking!

I'm very much a jeans and trainers sort when I ride my Harley. ;)

I will admit to having a pair of black Harley gloves I bought donkeys years ago that have really been and still are very good.

I just don't see myself clad in black leather, covered in badges and tattoo's riding a black Harley giving people black looks..:D

That,s Pingu's job.... :augie

WTF ! Shep

Why not ride the fecker in whatever is comfortable. Whats wrong with the Rukka ?

Why not raise one digit to the Hardly corporate clothing must have uniform.

Have no fear, i have no intention of blindly following the HD/HOG herd, i did buy a jacket though 'very nice it is to, Oh and a beanie hat and they're ordering in a specially made studded thong with a CVO padded strap to be gentle to my delicate nether regions:D

And i have Joined H-DRCGB, 'cos a few old mates are in there and it would be nice to meet up sometime.

I own a CVO bike and as such can order thong's and other sexual type Harley regalia.
Your probably not aware of this, and I really shouldn't be making this public but what the hell.
If you own a Harley you join HOG, but if you own a CVO bike you are certified as a CVO operative.
C littoral V ibration O fficer.
It's light years ahead of the Heavy Overweight Guy's section (HOG), and you get to meet gorgeous woman and not fat middle aged men. :beerjug::D

As already mentioned, when on holiday, I buy some T-shirts or special 'small' patches & pins', eg. Daytona bikeweek 2013 (got some leftover).
As well, if the local HD dealer has 40-50% discount deals and something fits, I may buy.

Regarding HD boots, I buy from the local 'Catterpiller' shop. Genuine gear at less than half price from the dealer.

Regarding fringed jackets, I still got my old Lewis Leathers leather jacket from the 70's. Don't fit so good now though but, brings back memories of the good old days when rallying on a £10.

Well since I got rid of all of my stuff a couple of years back, it looks like I need a new helmet, jacket and boots.

Priced them up at the dealer and whilst the helmets don't seem to bad, the leather jackets do seem a lot.

I think that it might mean a trip to J S Accessories near to Delamere.

That plus the fact that I don't want to look like one of Village People.
