How much 'wobble' on a spoked rim is acceptable?

cheers jay, jjh. yeah to be honest i've jumped the gun i think by not waiting until i had tested it on the road. ive been told several times it could be fine, and several times that it's trash. i'll hold fire until i've had it out on the bike.

appreciate all the replies and i'll get on with seeing how it rides.

The spokes generally seize in the rim ,have a go at pulling it straight ,but I thing you are going to struggle as the rim is bent,you will prob find that it will start to go oval .much easier to build a wheel with a rim that's straight to start with,
A spoke set is @£100 plus around the same to build it.
Getting the thing apart is your challenge as the last few I have done have taken about four hours to strip

No bother,ride it first and see how you feel about it,
I can rebuild it for you ,but in all honesty,its a bit of a loss leader,
Stacking shelves at Tesco is more profitable

mike i have a 95 on its original gearbox, and i'm keeping the bike, so odds are that you'll see it at some point. may make up for the loss leader if my rim *is* buggered
