I reckon he's a shrewd judge of all things airhead and has recognised the 1988 GS as the pinnacle of its development.

The 88 100GS is the pinnacle therefore the mono would be worth less
after all, it only has 3 bolts to hold the back wheel on 
Well of course anyone can ask whatever the like on a listing, just depends how much they want to sell it, based on that listing I'd take £18k for my Basic

The magnificent Paris Dakar tank for £600
The beautiful Kalahari Tank for the same
The HPN seat and rack for £250
I could go on and on - but I won't
all pure gold - or is it pearls before.......

Funny that I was having a discussion about the fecked up la la prices that people think their bikes are worth at the Shroppe do. Didn't get to finish it though as some young un was getting a BJ in the bushes which threw us all off track
