I cleaned the bike and put on a film of ACF50 for the first time ever a coupla days ago. Wi all the grit an salt on the roads now I intend hosing down the bike after I get home, at least every other trip, but how often do I need to re coat the bike wi this stuff?

cheers

in this weather so long as the bike is clean before applying, and you use the bike every day, then I'd apply once a month.
ACF50 builds up a film that doesn't get washed off easily

I do mine every couple of thousand miles or so although this weather is fecking horrible so maybe I'll apply it more often.

It's important to remember to remove the old ACF before applying the new coat. I use a liberal spraying of traffic film remover the a good strong hose (not pressure washer) before ACFing again.

left it on for 18 months once, only touched it up where tyre fitters had wiped it off wheel rims etc.

worked great.

Light pressure hosing is OK and you should not need to reapply for a while.
Should you wash the bike properly i.e. using shampoo, then reapply.

I find that the bike looks really dirty when using ACF as it tends to hold onto dust, dirt etc but I don't really worry about looks as long as the bike is protected.
