How tall are most GSA owners.

Hi all
I've just bought a 2011 GSA with ESA and I love it.
It is however soooooo big :-0
I have the standard seat on the low setting. It did come with a low seat, but I'd rather get used to it before I go and fit the lower seat.
I am 5' 11 1/2 with a 31" inside leg.
I'm wondering if we could have some replies on others who ride a GSA at this height.

It fits me Ok
Sergeant seats. High at front low at the back
Wilburs suspension which sits higher as well as its a bit stiffer.
 
I've done 20k miles now on my 2013 GSA TC. I'm the same measurements as you (no boots on) and I have the standard seat low at the back and high at the front. You will get used to the height. Just be wary if you ride 2 up with luggage and set the preload to that - it's a noticeable difference to climb onboard but I always mount and dismount via the side stand anyway (ignore anyone who tells you you shouldn't!). Just be mindful of any camber when you come to a stop and know beforehand which foot you're going to put down - I nearly always stop using the front brake and put my right foot down. Choose your parking space well and if you're not happy paddling it around just get off and push it into or out of a space. They are so manageable to shove around with wide bars and a great lock. Enjoy the beast and the view from your lofty perch! :beerjug:
 
5'10 1/2"; 31 1/2" inside leg.

You'll get used to the size .... and grow to love it! I was (just) OK with the standard seat on low setting but not when taking a pillion as it was just too top heavy. Standard height Sargent seat works perfectly for me and also when carrying a pillion. I do have a Kahedo adjustable low seat which I used for one trip and must get round to selling! If you need a tankbag then I have a spare one I could sell you ... :augie
 
I've 32 inch inside leg and use a standard Triple Black seat (the logo'd one, coz I'm a tart) so I can get both feet down, the stock GSA seat felt too high for me although with some practice I'd have got used to it, I do find the stock GSA seat more comfortable but I'm too impatient to get used to it.

Thanks for the info on the seats too.
It did come with a BMW low seat, but I didn't want to just rush into trying to get it as low as I can before I've got used to it.

Ahhhh yes, believe me I'm tempted too to just shove the low seat on :-))

I have already worked out quickly that I need to think when I'm coming to a stop which foot is going down.
I was trying to put both down at first and looked like bambi learning to walk :-))
 
It's a kind of an academic question as what ever answers are forthcoming, they won't change your height. I'm 6'4 and a mate is 5'6. We both ride r1200gs' and are both comfortable and able to ride competently. The weight of the bike is fairly low down in comparison with an across the frame four so the bike feels lighter and well balanced.

I used to be 6ft but my dr tells me, I'm only 5'11- 15/16"
 
6'0".....31" inside leg; the previous owner had a chunk cut out of the riders seat which meant my knees were around my ears!!

Put an airhawk on shortly after I bought it & it stays on the bike.....job done :D
 
Exactly same height as you, but 32" inside leg. Spent the first year with seat in low position, then switched it to high position, which is more comfy. I dont think twice about the height now (had the bike 4.5 years) until I get on a 'normal' bike
 
5'9" 30" inside leg, kehado low seat, Daytona M Star boots, can almost flat foot.

Sometimes use the stock seat on low - 2011 GSA.
