How to disconect battery without alarm going off!

Hi,

Does anyone know the process for setting the alarm up (i.e. service mode) so that when you disconnect the battery, the alarm wont go off?
I have a R1200 GS TE LC with the non TFT dash.

I believe if you go into set up, you can turn the alarm off, so it does not auto set. Then the battery can be disconnected without triggering it. Anyway worked for me 2014 LC
