How to make Outlook express default e-mail address

I thought that I'd try to use Outlook Express as my external e-mail home page. Changed it within Internet options, but my Orange address was still working & Outlook wasn't.

So I deleted the Orange account, & lost it all.

Including all my contacts

In for a penny etc. So how do I make Outlook my ONLY e-mail access for send / receive.

If you can answer this, please explain for someone who is almost totally inept with PCs. As demonstrated by now having to have new e-mail address.

Still at least I won't be getting the same Spam
