Hi guys,
please can anybody help I have bought a rugged road oil cooler guard for my 2010gsa,
rugged roads instruction looks like it tells you how to take beak off gs not gsa, I have the 2 wind deflectors removed plus the black side panels with bmw badges removed also 2 screws on the sides of the beak up by tank removed but the beak has a piece off black plastic that fits around screen legs and can,t see how to remove it.

the beak looks now loose allround but will not pull off because of a piece that goes around the screen legs.
any help to get this beak off will be great as the bike at the mo is in garge in bits

thanks
rob

Hi,

NO worries cracked it that piece is held with 3 push clips either side then pull beak off.

DONE.

It is a bit worrying when you do it for the first time. Lots of bending of plastic and wiggling. Then when putting back ensuring everything snaps back together. The oil cooler guard does look good when installed though. I've fitted two now to nearly new GSAs. Funnily both had the same amount of wear on the cooler fins which are now nicely covered up by the black Rugged Roads guard.

Whats the next farkle Rob?

HI,
I have only had my 1200gsa tu for 3 weeks but it came with luggage the rugged road spot light guards, they look good.

I bought the oil cooler guard, clutch reservoir guard brake front and rear reservoir guard, throttle potentiometer guard, LOL all bling not needed

Bike had a touratech lockable screen thingy but that,s off and on fleabay at the mo, the gsa screen doesn,t need one it was right in the line off view very of putting, now I can see right over the screen properly.
