How to stop the wind - R1200 GS Adventure 2011

I am 6ft 2, but long in the torso.

I traded my GS for the GSA partly for the extra protection, and whilst the screen, winglets and fairing are better than the GS, I still get a lot of helmet wind buffeting at motorway speeds.

Any bright ideas? I keep reading about aftermarket screens, but is there anything better than the standard GSA? The Givi Airflow doesn't appear to fit the 2011 GSA.

I'm 6'4 and use this Aerotrim that's made here in SA. Works a treat and all the buffeting stopped once fitted!

1,85m no problems with the GSA...I just love the wind protection, on the 1150 (previous bike) I had some issues which on long journeys made my neck a bit shore...
After installing this:

I never had any problems, it's applicable to all GS models, and it is easily removed or installed.

Are the screen mounts different for the 11? Shame cause the af330 is sweet....

The clip on looks like it might be worth a go. From the Touratech website

"We make explicity clear that the strengthing elements Hard Part for windscreen R1200GS Alu (product number 044-0380) should be used."

Is this really necessary on GSA which already has the extra bar across the windscreen?

Before you go ahead and order the touratech one, have a look at the Wunderlich one

I'm 6'4" and have fitted this. Whilst it doesn't eliminate all wind noise I would say it improves it approx 80% (that being said if I have the seat on the lower setting it eliminates wind noise approx 98%, but there's not enough le room on the low setting for me). The reason that I bought this over the Touratech one is that this is almost infinitely adjustable, whereas the TT one isn't adjustable at all I don't believe. Whilst some find the TT one works a treat, I've also known it make it worse for some folk. With the Wunderlich one at least you should be able to find a setting that works for you
