Does anyone on here have the BMW HP levers on their GS/ GSA? If so, what do you think of them?

I've got them on my XR; they're fantastic, and feel much nicer than the standard levers. I've not had any issues with the standard levers on the GS, but now I've seen the HP version am convinced that the original ones are shite, so am interested to see what owners think of them.:D

They look nice. My only comment would that they don't appear (from the photo, at least) to have the "cut-out" which allows the half-end of the lever to snap off if the bike drops, thus allowing, at the minimum, for you to carry on with half a lever which will still work, rather than none, or one bent to b*gg*ry and unusable.

Hmm, I can't see the cut out either. And they don't look like they're folding. I'd imagine that the handguards should protect them in a normal drop though.:thumb

I wonder if anyone has them.:augie

Had them on my HP4 and they were sweet. Fold ups though, different design to those in the linky :nenau

I spoke to my dealer, and BMW have halted production due to a fitting issue.:blast

BMW seem to have a habit of telling everyone about a product they're unable to supply!:augie

Had them fitted couple of weeks ago on 16MY GSA. Haven't got the cut outs but don't care. Tend to pack spare levers for Euro trips anyway. Prefer the way they adjust over the standard ones.

Good to know. Did you get a chance to ride the bike with the standard levers, or were they fitted from new?

Your call - spare levers are fine as long as the hinges and pistons don't get f**ck*d when the levers don't snap or fold.

Rode with standard before the 600 mile service. Changed then. Didn't like levers on previous GS LC either.

Would you say they're a good improvement over the standard ones? Obviously I haven't seen them, yet.

I have had similar levers to those copies on previous bikes inc a K1300 and Multistrada but haven't been able to find ones for the LC models. To be honest the copies I have used in the past and presently have on my 650 Versys are quite good quality, actually have more adjustability than the HP ones, also have a cut out and only cost about £35 delivered. The HP ones are the only ones I could find at reasonable prices. You pays your money etc.

£194 for OEM levers....kin ell :eek::eek::eek:

I put a pair of magnificent Titax adjustable levers on my GSA......and they were considerably less expensive than the BMW OEM ones.......

That's retail price, and nobody pays retail.;)

I can get them for much less, if I want them.

I got mine as part of a goodwill gesture so I didn't fork any money at all.

You may want to have a word with your dealer, as they have been pulled from production, due to quality issues. I ordered some last week, they were in stock, but BMW has recalled all the stock.
