Hp2 and aftermarket exhausts

Hello you chaps, can any of you shed any light on the best aftermarket exhaust systems and/or down pipes that are available/could be made to fit either the Hp2 enduro or, as I have one of these, the megamoto.
I know a few of you have fitted Akrapovic and also the Remus systems, any comments ?
Bengaz, you have fitted a set of replacement headers,Remus wasn't it, were they ok, you did have to "cut and shut" a little, but made a fine job of it all the same, any views now the job is done ?

The Ti Akrapovic is every bit as good as you would expect it to be.At a price that is as expensive as you would expect it to be. Given the Reputation of Akrapovic and the fact that the Factory fitted this Exhaust to the Pikes Peak Bikes in 2007,i'd say that this Set-Up will be the best performer.

Agree with Dee Tee. Only downside is cost, but as an MM owner you know obviously appreciate quality before price.

I have the remus headers and both the Remus Revolution and Grand Prix can. With the grand prix can fitted, a lot of weight is saved, the middle and top end def has a healthy increase... and the sound is sweeeeeet! The Revolution is better for touring work due to being road legal and a little easier on the ears.

I put the hpn akra pipe on my bike and it is very nice. Great sound and weight savings. The titanium changes color much like a old british bike. No regrets. Richard

Remus Headers + Ti Akra can

I got Remus Headers and an Akra can


there is a distinct change in performance but I don't care that much,

is the Akra sound that worth every credit crunched penny I spend..

I put a staintune system on my hp2e when i owned it, great sound and weight saving. Price wise it was a lot cheeper than the akro, however akro is a beautiful pipe. When i get another hp2, i will probably go for the akro.
Thing is mufflers get damaged pretty quickly, so you could think about cutting out the cat and using the standard muffler too.

I only have the Akrapovic tail piece and standard headers. Sounds sweet with the baffle out and still well inside limits. Power wise not sure if it is better or worse than the standard really. I have not had the standard pipe on in over 20k miles so maybe that is something to try for a week and see if there is a noticable difference or not.

Mr Tickle had the staintune on his HP2 and he said it was the single most best investment he ever spend on a bike as the power increase was incredible with roll on wheelies easily through nearly all the gears. Then again he is a bit of a maniac

Akropovik (sp) full race system. Has transformed the muted box into the beast it was supposed to be. Got mine forn HPN in Gernany. Expensive, but it gives me the horn!

Me too and I love the colure the pipes go. Blue just matches the frame and it looks like you've thrashed the bike to a inch of its life OH AND THE BURBAL ON SHUT DOWN :cool
The package turned up and I thought I had been done there must be more to come but no it was all in the single box, but hay with a system that weighs so little (6.70kg lighter than stock) you save on P&P

Are the enduro and Mega exhaust interchangeable? Many manufacturers only list the enduro.

Hi Guys, are there any photos of these exhausts ? With info so difficult to trace/limited suppliers etc pics would be a great help to me when I'm trying to narrow down to a "louder", but not too loud if you can understand me, system.

So it looks like the Akri full Ti is the overall winner in the quality & beauty dept, only problem is it isn't listed on their site, nor anywhere else I can find?

Anyone know a goof supplier in the USA?
