Hi, new to the forum.

Looking for a front brake assembly/ master cylinder for my 2005 HP2 Enduro.

Taken the bike to my local BMW dealer here in the UK and they can no longer get the part (32727727026). Searching high and low online nobody seems to have a new one or second hand in stock.

If anybody has a new one, a working used one, or an alternative solution or advice! I’m hoping to keep the bike as original as possible.

Fluid seems to be bypassing internal seals of the master cylinder according to BMW. From various sources I have heard it is a non-serviceable part and must be replaced.

Thanks.

Have you tried the hp2 Facebook group? Lots of owners there in Europe and the US.

Interesting you say you’ve heard it’s not rebuildable. What make is it? Brembo, Magura ?

I believe the master cylinder and lever assembly were made by magura for that specific bike, so not interchangeable with a system from a different model. Happy to be corrected, of course.

The body may be a specific shape/design but I’d be surprised if the piston and seals aren’t common to other master cylinders from Magura.
Is there a Magura parts stockist in the UK?

Try Venhill engineering. They carry repair kid for Magura. The body may be specific to your bike but I’d be really surprised if the piston and seals weren’t common to others.

Broke mine once, now has one from a 2012 1200gs adventure 👍
Thanks for the info. I’d thought about this solution. How does the lever feel compared to the original brake lever? Read about having less modulation and requiring more force to brake due to different size piston within master cylinder? Also useful to know from someone that’s done it rather than relying on google! Thanks!

I don't notice any difference to be honest. Been on there now for 5 years or so 👍
