Imagine my excitment when I paid my deposit for my shiny new HP2 on Saturday - marvellous!

Only problem now is that my current insurer (BMW Insurance) will not cover it - how stupid is that? :tosser This is nothing to do with me or my (spotless ;) ) riding history; no, appearently becuse it is an "off-road" bike they'll not provide cover.
They did however offer me a full refund of my outstanding insurance premium, waying the usual cacellation fee's - very big of them!

Can anyone out there recommend a "good" insurer for my shiny new HP2?

I tried BMW insurance last week for a quote for my HP2 they said no probelem
£320 pounds E bike said £275 pounds

I got mine covered with eBike, cost just under £46 to change from the GS adv. But read this POST for the trouble I had changing.

Well, after much chasing around and several calls from BMW Motorrad Insurance (not Devitt funnily enough) they got it sorted.

However I have cancel my existing BMW policy (that also covers my KTM) and take out a whole new one (that will not cover my KTM) :o . So how exactly does that work then....?

Anyway all sorted now so should be picking the bike up saturday as long as my reg plate details turn up from the DVLC.

If it's any help to any others struggling to get insurance I use Wicked Quotes.
They covered 2 Cannondales (one SM one Dirt), a TM 530SMM, a Gas Gas EC250, an R1, a ZZR1100 and a Fantic 307 trials bike all on one policy. The ZZR the R1 and the Fantic have now gone to make way for a more 'adventurous' bike in the new year, they'll just add that to the policy (I've already asked). :thumb

eBike are good as well, they insure a lot of my friends. :thumb
