UK again Pah!..
This is more a rear shock thing, what is the highest anyone has pumped the rear shock up to, and the maximum weight load they have had on the bike (rider/pillion/kitchen sink etc.)

total me, riding gear, rack, saddle bags, bigger tank full, jerry cans full, plus my camping and other bits pieces and three days of food and water 180kg

Did 4 hours riding and it lost air have just ordered 642 wilbers with new extra stiff springs for the forks.

hope that helps.

max load?

I thought the max load has to do with the sub-frame & rear shock..!

if just replace the rear shock with one with stronger spring is it not likely that the rear sub-frame to give up half way up in the middle of nowhere ??

frame is very likely to fail, in my opinion cos there's not much metal in it.

am waiting for a reply to get a HPN uprated frame as used by simo wasshis name cos he snaps standard frames for breakfast

I am sure I read they just add to the existing frame in the weak areas

The word 'gussets' springs to mind :P

According to Mr. P the middle bolke of HPN it's a totally new frame specially made all new and luvverly, will let you know what it's like and how long it takes to get one...

Bugger - You had to mention HPN, the Adventure only went 15 minutes ago to it's happy new owner and already I am looking at the HPN site :blast
