Took the Metzeler Karoo off last night and it is pretty much knackered after 5200 miles :augie Decided to try the TKC on the bike and to be honest it just does not have that hard look to it as the Karoo has :nenau It is nice to actually get some feedback off the rear tyre now as I have always found the TKC's a pretty decent tyre.

Will see how long it lasts compared to the Karoo. Tyre was a bitch to break the bead and get off the rim. Even more time to get the tyre inflated again on the tubeless rim but all sorted now :thumb2

Is that a typo ??? should that read 520 miles rather than 5200 miles. I put a new Karoo on 200 miles before the cambrian Rally which was about 250 miles and its all but knackered already:nenau

Tou must have been riding over cotton wool fields:augie

Jeez Mav 5200 MILES???????

I have TKC's on my HP, done about 2500Km(mostly off road, high speed and technical(DAYTONA/De Wildt)) riding on them, they may last another 1000, but then again i'm going riding on sunday and if i ride it like i rode last weekend, it'll only last 500.

I get about 5000-6000Km on the Adventure.

Rebel (wildog) uses Karoo's and only gets 1000Km odd, but rides the HP hard and ONLY offroad.
Have also spoken to a guy who managed to DESTROY a Karoo in 400Km.

Overall I'm very happy with the TKC on the HP.

Nou hou op stront praat hier en gaan skryf jou Trip report - ons wag.
