HP2 v DRz ... gentleman ... place your bets, we have a challange..

Of all the bikes I've owned ( about 70 ), the HP2 puts the biggest smile on my face.

After 1 1/2 years it still gives me the biggest buzz from each & every ride. It's got a power delivery like a 2 stroke, its powerband is just plain and simply insane and the bike works best when you're thrashing it - bouncing of the rev limiter in each gear and just simply riding it hard. I even shout "who's yer daddy now! " at it for that final pip on the top

And that's the reason experienced riders find them so good. I tried a KTM out for a test ride but found the power delivery was far too refined and smooth for me. It didn't quite suite my riding style and I didn't feel the excitement the HP2 gives me. It was just not as much fun for me at the speed I enjoy riding at.

I know we all poke fun at each others choice of bike but really it's different strokes for different folks, so as long as you're happy, who cares anyway?

I traded in my 2007 KTM 250 EXC-F for the Superduke in May and was tempted to get the 2008 EXC 450 R.

But I've just ridden the demo and much prefer my 'old' bike,so I've just bought it back.

I was much quicker offroad on the 250 than the 450 and just love the power delivery,as it too revs like a 2 -stroke.

Plus,I can cane the 250,but am nowhere near good enough to cane the 450,at least not on the dirt.

I had an EXC 450 in 2005,but the new 250 F motor is just stunning and suits me to a tee.

Five of us have just booked with Chris Evans for his Normandie trip in March.

Why not come along on the HP2 ?

Then you obviously ain't ridden Aprilia's RXV 550. The HP2 feels fairly quick, but this creature has to be the most ferocious, maddest bike I've been on to date. It's to the point of almost being unusable......I really want one...

as someone mentioned that snoopey entered the cambrian Rally , Big pat Keenan has entered on his new ktm 950E and i hope to drag along the saucy bike (hp) so maybe this could be a forum for to get the who is , who's not off yer Chests

run the hp2 the drz a ktoom and the prilla, cos its the power onf a hp2 and the weight of the drz, only prob would be the road stuff as it runs out after 45miles

Out of 16 spaces available there are only 4 or 5 left,the last time I spoke with Chris.

lol, might be a fault on their booking form there is a drop down which shows the earlier date as well. I have booked the 22/23/24

I've just spoken to Chris-the dates on the drop down menu on the online booking form are THIS YEARS .ie 2007 !!!!

His webmaster hasnt'y updated it yet due to marital problems !!!

The only date in March is the one we are on -19/20/21 March !!!

The above list in aprevious posting is the correct calendar for 2008.

Chris is going to get the online form altered asap.

just waiting for the challange mate. No definate route or dates have been posted here yet, so still waiting for the challenge to be sorted. We're leaving it up to you guys. Once someone comes up with something proper other than a load of b0ll0x, me & snoopy agree on it, it's on.

My new forks are fitted, I got me new knobblies & I'm raring to go. Entries here ASAP. Hopefully before the year end and while it's still muddy

My bikes in pieces after the thieving scum fecked the forks didn't see it at first. Need the supermoto wheels so I can get some proper rubber on the enduros for the Cambrian. Unlikely to find a replacement 650 Dakar screen so I'll have a broken neck by the time I get down there.

Fecking hate it when you get a bike the way you want it then back to square one. It's going to be a "only 1hr to go and not ready moment".

Shame, as I would of really enjoyed wiping the floor with another HP2, and using my DRZ. And putting tears into the eyes of some of the micro fan club members on here, most being Southern shandy drinkers.
There's always next years event not to turn up at.
