HP2 v DRz ... gentleman ... place your bets, we have a challange..

HP2 will win I guess it's a monster in power and usability admittedly myself included most riders can't do it any justice (it scares the hell out of me). Saw Mr. P rip one of the school bikes around the Off-Road school playground when I did my HP2 dayand my word it shifted faster than greased lighting.

why not?

This could be fun........:hide
How are you for riding on The Motorway for a couple of miles?:green gri
I'd be able to sell ringside seats for this.
T.

I think Timpo has a plan here.. from what I have heard of the motorway and seen of many of the routes out this way...

I am sure Timpo could find a suitable route eh Timpo ;) :D. You know you want too.. I think Hew would love to come help ejudicate! Especially with the motorway.. :augie

Gonna be an interesting challenge thats for sure..

North or Mid Wales should be the venue............with Timpo deciding the route

Timolgra will return from the Swiss Alps to read this with glee:augie

What about speed limits?
Should the general public be put in to risk?
Average speeds can be tamed on the green lanes by the technicality, but the tarred routes can be used to gain time but the risk of a third party accident will spiral upwards.
An answer would be a couple of enduros. Say one hare scramble and one time card, and not have a true road section leg of the challenge.

I have thought about if I had to do the test on both bikes, which one would I return best times. Have a good think about it using your own ability, it makes a great daydream.:thumb2

Ding-ding....round 2...............:popcorn

Timpo.

HP2s are fine in bog like conditions, honest (and trust me, it was one hell of a bog, just out of shot).

It's the rider (me) that's the problem :D

That's not a bog!

Bleedin' 'eck - that looks like fun

This is what it was like just out of shot - I made it all the way through the muddy stuff and dumped it on an 'ickle little rut, mainly from exhaustion!

PS Sorry for the hijack gents!

Mmmmm let me recall a conversation between me and Mr Tickle a few years back on our way from Nurburgring...in the snow  After trying to keep up with him in the twisties on the wet slippery roads him on TKC's and me on Tourances - So Geoff does that tyres not slide all over the show in this conditions? Yeah man they do move around a bit but you get used to it :loopy

Snoopy and Mr Tickle best of luck with the bet and will be very interesting. This time I think it might be more rider capability than the bike :surrender :D

Whatever happens Snoopy don't let him know if you've got any fags on you.....I did and had to give up before he'd leave me alone.

Following on from last nights fun between snoopy & I, we have a challange:-
.
.

snoopys post

You shouldn't tempt me to a challenge.

Here's my thoughts:

Any off-road you want, of any level.
Route must include highways with 4hrs non-stop travelling (other than for fills).
No back-up vans or cars of any type. What you bring you carry.
Serious mud and/or bog type conditions.

Let's start a new thread - the challenge is on!

A fair challenge and I accept. Using snoopy's route criteria above maybe someone from here could set up an independent route for us to ride. We'll finally be able to see if the HP2 is really reliable enough to last a day without breaking down and if the lighter DRz is better off-road. I could be eating humble pie here!

However my money is on this challenge ending with the same result as the KTM Super Enduro 950R challenge that I did. A resounding victory to the HP2, finally silencing the KTM brigade with the cold hard truth - the HP2 kicked its arse :D. I love my HP2, yes I do :thumb2

In yur dreams sunshine

The Motorway

Doesn't look that bad does it, as its only 2 miles it may be worth doing a there and back to make it up to a nice 4 miles. That should make a nice little test to start the day off:augie

Snoopys entered in the Cambrian Rallye next month If Mr Tickle entered that could form part ot the challenge :thumb

I've hopefully got Snoopy coming out for a hard trail ride this Sunday I'll see how he goes against the 1150 GSA :augie

Forry, this is what I was thinking, and then a hare 'n' hounds run by Wirral Off Road would make phase two.
I would really enjoy this.
And, is there a KTM Souper Henduro R rider lurking on this thread also? As that would be great for Snoopy to take these two leviathans on.
Very interested am I.:thumb2

Koooooyee Lozer, here boy!

With both bikes having to complete a 200 mile road ride earlier in the morning.

It'd also be nice to have a few trials sections at some time in the proceedings.

Looking forward to this.
