HPN--- or desert builds

hi,
i am contemplating building a "better" g/s, front suspension, rear swing-arm, and frame mods. i want the rest to be stock... for use like i am now. i love my g/s but want it a bit more like my KTM i had. i.e ground clearance.

i know there are folks that have done this, however have not heard how they liked it and how the bikes ride after for normal use (not racing only). i just don't want to go though the trouble to have something with bad road manors.

so.. who has one? what do they think?

I have a HPN , which started life as a Basic . I love it and think it`s a big improvement on a great bike . It has the taller top gear and HPN bigger heads . Hits 3 figures with ease , comfortable and handles like a dream . All depends on how much you want to spend The only downside to mine is the shit paint job and crap seat
