Good to see such a positive reaction to both the event & the location. Everyone on our side, especially Grant & Susan, were delighted with the way it went. The venue was ideal, the 'staff' (it's a community project & they're all volunteers
) were friendly & efficient and the campsite was level & dry. On top of that the presentations were brilliant, even though some people had never done anything like it before. What more could you want
Provisionally I think the 2011 event is likely to be on the UK bank holiday (May 30th) weekend again as it gives the visiting presenters & Travellers an extra day to get home. But the numbers will be capped at (probably) 150, we'd a bit over 100 this year, to avoid losing that intimate feeling.
From my point of view I'd like to congratulate Liam & Drew on a superb first event and say a big thank you to both the Hall & the GAA club for the facilities, Brian & Terry for what appears to have been a brilliant off-road run, all the presenters for their sterling efforts & most importantly, to all who turned up - without you it wouldn't have been much of an event
See ya all next year
