Still waiting for the Puig hugger to rear it's pretty little head (not keen on the Powerbronze one) but Pyramid are just releasing this treat

Only 50 quid and might protect the shock better than a hugger?

Excuse my ignorance, didn't see it's one for a 1300 your after.Ignore me.
No worries - resisting the urge to buy everything I want only to find out it doesn't fit! I had a GSXR SRAD 750 that was made from several different bikes (I'm better now) and wound up with at least two of everything to fit different years - screen, exhaust, rad guards...

I presume the GS 'crud catcher' is an option for the RS.... wonder what it would look like?

I ordered this. It seems nice and simple and will do the job.

That lower mount of the shock is a crazy design. Basically a little bath catching everything from the rear wheel.. but also too tight to get in to properly clean it.

Installed the little guard. TBH I think its perfect. Looks like it completely guards the shock. Nice and simple but effective.

Yours looks to be a little further from the tyre.... mine sits with just 3 or 4mm clearance.
Also I had to remove the rubber flap after fitting and trim the left side as it was clearly going to rub on the swingarm.

I'm actually very impressed with it. Tested today. Commute home started wet then dried. Its clear to see hiw much it protects the shock. Simple but effective.

The one negative is buying from the UK. £50 for the part but smacked with €30 custom fees. Never again!!

Yes it touches very lightly. I'll keep an eye on it. But even if it touches a little itll be better than the shock being battered by the grime and water.

Precisely what I'll fabricate in my shop soon. The coating on those castings will tolerate considerable abrasive contact for longer than one might imagine. When, if ever, the metal shows, then when wheel is off simply clean and brush a coat or two of marine epoxy over it and carry on... Yikes, it's a bike...
