I have fitted both a mud sling and a hugger. The mud sling keeps the back of my legs and the hugger keeps the under side of the the bike cleaner than it would otherwise be. I had to modify both in order to fit them.

Cheers might look into those:thumb2 Do you need the fitting kit or can you fit it without??

You can do without the BMW tie wraps , I bought them but used smaller ones in the end. Theyre surprisingly effective :)

Has anyone got a Puig fitted. Intobikes site saying built to order 14 day delivery?

Into bikes are talking bollox, because puig have not released a date yet, it should be begin of nxt year, so why he is stating the above on his website I'm puzzled obviously taking bods coin and keep them waiting and waiting.

In fact i called him today and said can i order a puig hugger and how long will it take, 10-14 days, was the reply, when i asked how comes you can get so quick when puig have not even released a date and there not for retail yet ! Silent Pause than he said yes you seem correct.

Pyramid plastics also do a splash guard its the same as the puig one (there all in partnership).

...Please help me out.... I keep seeing the word "toilet" used a lot on here !!! Explain for me im just a simple being !!
Ta...

I haven't got an issue with the side covers or the Wunderlich versions for that matter. I can see how they stop the dirt from getting onto your legs.

The dirt IMHO is still getting I to places it shouldn't (!) and the covers eerrrr cover it up. The MudSling will hopefully stop the spray getting there in the first place.

I just wish they'd hurry up!

I suspect a combination of everything works in some way to reduce splash and water movement whatever it is. I guess it's all about barriers .

Hope it's got a better mounting bracket than the one for the old 1200 - mine snapped off in the Alps :blast

Motortworks has the panels for £24.16 total for both left and right. The fixing kit is then £24.41 for what seems to be five cable ties and some other small plastic bits !
They're obviously very special cable ties for that money!
So, chaps who've fitted the panels, would you say panels can be fitted without buying the BMW fitting kit? I'm thinking smaller clear cable ties would look a loads better.

The fitting kit will consist of not just the cable ties but the rear rubber bridging pieces that allow the panels to sit on the frame tubes.

Yes, some of the panels have to be removable to gain access to the fluid reservoirs, so the kit includes rubber straps to allow the panels to be rotated out of the way
