Has anyone fitted a pyramid hugger and then gone on to use their bike off road. Does it cause any problems?

I have a hugger yet to be fitted to the bike, but was planning to take the bike off road this year for a little fun, but will it cause problems?? Anyone got any experiences..

Depends how hard you are off road; personally I wouldn’t fit a hugger for off road use, or depending on the clearance from the tyre.

I had a pyramid hugger, purely for on road use. Took it of, as it was a waste of space. Didn't fit very well either.

Rock's, the hugger will clog with mud and most likely get damaged unless you're just riding on forest tracks etc.

Thankyou guys.. as i thought..

Arh I had suspected it would clog and get battered.

Eliminator.. your right they dont fit well, but this one was modified by a previous owner with a few spacers and fits well now so i am told..lol.

Looks like another item to pop on the forsale section..

Cheers guys..

Err, mine was modified with additional spacers. Still rubbed the tyre at the back of the swinging arm, & at the area that is reinforced by the mounting point.
