I can also recommend the ilmberger carbon hugger. its quite expensive, but its very light and strong, simples to fit, but can rattle a bit on the bumpy stuff. Most importantly though, it keeps the back of your legs dry.
I've got a Puig hugger and it's decent quality and good VFM. The back end still gets quite dirty, but as I fitted it as soon as I bought the bike I don't know how much of an improvement it is
Thanks for all the replies. I've found the search button on the forum and was able to find loads more info on the great hugger/mudslinger debate, dohh! I won't ask about oil.
I'm thinking that I may go for the Mudslinger at the moment.
got a nippy normans fibre glass one for sale if anyone is interested. good condition apart from a small piece where it has rubbed on thebottom of the shock as I didn't take the shock shroud off. £50 plus post.
