My GSA has the LED pods on the rear to aid braking awareness by flashing. Are these not allowed in the UK to aid safety and risk rear infringement?
Told by MOT man they need to be deactivated to pass.

Brake light must be " a steady red light"

I have them on mine and never had a problem with the MOT.

But them we don't have an MOT for bikes in France.:pullface

Nuff said.
Bought in the US and used throughout the middle east with no problem.

I've requested the service engineer to install an on/off switch for them so I can use when I see fit to protect my rear end, especially at night or when abroad.

As yet unregistered in the UK; though it is a euro spec bike being converted for UK use with an MOT certificate, I am hoping that will suffice to get it registered at the DVLA without course to go to a VOSA station.
