Read LWR on holiday a few weeks ago (didn't see it on the telly) and got thinking about planning an adventure. Always had it in the back of my mind, but never done anything about it. Where to go? What to do it on? I don't own any Hein Gericke kit. Or anything from Arai. Oh, and I haven't got a GS. Or any bike. Or a bike licence.

Naaa...to be totally honest, I agree with him....it was an astute and well observed comment that matches the description of a lot of 'bought the bike to pose' Gsers whose bikes won't ever go further than the Ace cafe.......the fact that he's evidently hit a very raw nerve with a lot of people reinforces that rather strongly.

What I certainly won't let go of is this post;

Fanum, as it says in the instruction manual "thoroughly check the motorcycle for safety before every ride".

I intend to get an answer from him.......whether here, via email or if I have to go round and knock on his door.......he's not far away

my sponsership is up, i must pay quick, i love this site, and i do try very hard to ride and not type on this great site, but im sorry, i have to side with OG, he was spot on, with everything, the equipment right down to you lot turning on each other, and its always the same peeps!!!!

That's an implied threat, pure and simple.

All I'm doing is giving him a chance to retract it and apologise, or explain it if I've got it wrong (hmmmmm.....not likely wouldn't you say?) or deal with the consequences if it was what I say it was.

As it happens, he hasn't logged on here for a while, (in his 'originalgser' login anyway) but I'm sure he'll be getting the message soon.

Bill, havnt you seen this many times before? i have and im a newbee, im sure no-one would have meant that in the way you have taken it, i think it was out of character, he does commnt with an nside knowledge, he seems to know "the score" that comment was not a threat i think. anyhow, im sure he is one of the tossers on here. I couldnt help but post as he's comments were so spot on, in fact he described me down to a tea. i wasnt offended by it, it made me grin. my defence is i dont come on here as much as some of the tossers do, i do ride my BMW GS with pride
