Riding the ASA bikes, the gearchange in road and rain mode is very good in auto, not so good in dynamic mode. Put the the bike in dynamic and ride it in manual, flipping brilliant.
I am really starting to warm to this bike.

So it’s only good in auto using modes you won’t often use but works better in manual in the mode most people mainly use ?
Genius 😜
Kind of ties up with the MCN review today

That's not what I said and why would 'most people' mainly use dynamic.

Judging by what I’ve read on here . As people often comment that the bike performs best in Dynamic.
The 900GS I’ve been on all week certainly did .

I wouldn't argue with that, the bike does perform at it's best in dynamic mode, but I don't always need to use the bike at it's optimum performance level.
The ASA works well in dynamic mode just not as well as it does in road or rain mode. 1st, 2nd and 3rd auto can be slightly jerky in dynamic, but not a problem. Whereas they are pretty smooth in rain or road.
Personally I don't tend to use dynamic unless I'm having a play or wanting to get a wriggle on, there is enough real world grunt in road mode.
Just my findings on my own bike. If I notch it up to dynamic, using the ASA in manual makes it a much more fun ride.
I'm not trying to be obtuse in any way, just sharing my thoughts.
