Please be gentle with me as I don't even have a GS (yet!). I must hereby confess that I currently own and ride a Yamaha FJR1300.
I've been toying with the idea of a GS after previously owning an old ex-army Armstrong MT500 and then an Aprillia Pegaso 650. It was after this that I moved to the 'dark side' and went down the tourer route.
I managed to get my IBA number last year and then competed in and finished the Brit Butt Rally this year. Out of the 40 competitors about two thirds were riding BMs and of those the majority were GSs.
After speaking to several riders including the 3rd time winner (on a 1150 GS) I'm now getting that tingling feeling, funds permitting?
I've mainly joined the forum to glean as much information as I can before committing myself to buy. I want to dig through the posts and find out all the pros and if there are any - cons to owning a GS.
Please point me where I need to look.
