I dun gone bought me one of these

Always wanted one so bought it about six weeks ago.
It doesn't stop,won't go round corners and I love it.
 
And you'll find it flexes In the middle too.

Bought one in 1979 and loved it.

Do you know the brand and type of two stroke oil in it? Hopefully the previous owner gave you a part used bottle. If not spend time siphoning out the old stuff and filling with your preferred. Different types and makes of injector oil sometimes dont mix and over time form thick gloopy messes that the SRIS injectors dont like.

EBC pads on the front will help your gentle reduction in velocity. Then check rear drum shoes for glazing , or in my case ( 1972 Honda) detachment of the shoe/ backing plate.

It's not perfect,it's got a few age related marks but I've bought it to ride on a sunny Sunday not to be a garage queen.

Perfection is overrated (IMHO) It's the imperfections that keep things interesting - though I accept that decent brakes are a bonus :D

Yours is the best colour too, it was something like 'candy red' ???

I always wanted one when I started riding but never did. A friend’s Dad bought one new in 1976 (GT750A) in blue, rode it a bit, dropped it on the driveway & put it in the garage where it stayed for 30 odd years until he died. My friend’s Mum & his wife wouldn’t let him ride it & so he asked me if I’d recommission it & then he’d sell it & split the proceeds with me. So after months of work including getting the crankshaft seals replaced & hours of polishing it was good to go-to me! My wife bought it for me.
It had 1326 miles on the clock, all original tins & I loved it. I had it for a year or so but needed an everyday rider so reluctantly I sold it. I got £4500 for it but I regretted selling it as soon as it went.

Shame you had to sell it,someone got a bargain.
Have you seen what minters fetch now?
 
Had one back in the 70's,custom sprayed by a friend of mine,took it to Cornwall for three weeks in the long hot 1976 summer,lovely bike
