I just don't trust it!

Just got back from France. Entering Paris from the South and you guessed it.................Pile of SH*T.
The poxy thing took me down little streets, Zebra crossings, Traffic lights, T junctions, Past a parade of shops with parking outside. Just what I was dreading it would do (See my initial thread)
This latest 'excursion' coupled with the fact that I can't use Mapsource with my Mac and it refused to talk to my B/T Nokia for the whole trip leave me no choice.
TomTom rider for me.
Guys, I'm sure you are all thinking that the Zumo is a great piece of kit and that I should give it more time but I've yet to be impressed by it after 4000 miles. It's a GPS not a problem child that I've got to learn to like.

See the For Sale section..................£275 all in

Chris.

I tend to agree with you. My 2610, (sadly now sold), was MUCH better at routefinding that the ZUMO 550. I guess I'm stuck with it now, but how did Garmin/Mapsource manage to make such a pigs ear of it???? :nenau

I didn't buy it in haste..............I read the reviews etc etc. I too am stunned at how crazy the whole situation is. Physically it's a lovely quality bit of kit but at the end of the day it stuffs up my route.
I've listened to those who have stated that it's best to create a route in Mapsource and transfer it. Well I have 3 points to make.

1, I bought it to tell ME the best way to go.......not bloody vice versa.

2. I don't want to have to carry a laptop wherever I go in case I decide to go somewhere where I've not first calculated a route to.

3. Mapsource won't even bloody work on a Mac (which I only discovered after trying to load it)

I'm well rid!
