GS but one step at a time please.Having owned over the years 5 Blackbirds I think that it is fair to say that I like them but no longer needing so much power and with limited financial resources I decided to trade it in for a Varadero.
As I have already stated hardly a GS but in some senses a good compromise as it provides me with a machine that I can potter along on whilst smelling the roses and in some comfort as well.

The way the laws are in this country I honestly feel that Sports bikes and Sports Tourers really have had their day and that the GS or its equivalents really are the bikes for the future.
As for me once I get a positive response from my begging letter ( not really) from the Euro Lottery winners I will be straight down to the showroom to order a new one.

Nothing wrong with the Varadero, apart from a little thirsty.

I had one for a couple of years, never let me down and never could understand why it has labelled ugly

I sold my old Varadero (a 2006 model) to buy a Blackbird

The Varadero is a tourer disguised as an adventure bike, which makes it a good bike. A bit heavier and a bit slower in the twisties than my old 1150GS, but cheaper, comfier, with better lights and weather protection.
