The Yamaha version of the GS . Shaft drive , good handling , good off road ability for its weight and Yamaha reliability. A bit too good in away . Maybe that’s why it didn’t sell . No character as Darcy and the old man would sayWhat’s so good about them?

You’d need to go try one. I find there’s just something solid about them. The ride and handling is so like the 1100\1150 GSs, and the added Yamaha reliability. Seats are a regular topic as for some reason Yamaha seem to think ramming yer nuts into the tank is comfortable, but it’s such an easy fix to level the seat. Accessories are getting scarce though, doesn’t look like I can get R+G front axle bobbins for this one now. And Pyramid huggers are only available in the more expensive painted options rather than standard black plastic.What’s so good about them?

They are reliable, practically bomb-proof, they handle well, go quite well too and they do have a little V twin character too. They are very close to the best of the R1100/1150GS but with a bit more “go”. As I’ve said before, I love my Tracer9 GT+ but I really miss my SuperTen.What’s so good about them?
