Took my 08 GS into the dealers in Malaga for service and the Service Guy said he'd had a spate of bikes trucked in because the fuel sensor on the left side of the intake had been damaged during emergency braking!!!

Apparently the rider had some how kicked forward with his left leg and clattered the sensor. Sounds like broken shins to me - but hey ho - he said it happens so...

The bike is dead if there is ANYTHING wrong with that sensor so he suggested I get a guard for it.:comfort

Anyone know the least nasty looking, lowest cost, easiest available item? I need it sent to Spain and I suspect Touratw*at will fleece me (though I could be wrong:augie!

I suggest looking ahead and not kicking the bike during breaking.

What model of bike?

I concur - not happened to me yet - but since the tech guy tells me it has happened to others - I'll believe him - cause that's just the kind of guy I am:Motomartin!

Its a 1200GS 08 BTW

Chunk of this Parish is the purveyor of said equipment and a very fine job he does as well :thumb
